Museum Tours
Whether you're coming to the Museum to see its outstanding permanent collection of American and regional art, or one of the many changing exhibitions, the Westmoreland Museum of American Art has something to appeal to a broad range of age levels and interests.
GUIDED TOURS
Available during regular Museum hours of Wednesday through Sunday 11 AM to 5 PM and Thursday from 11 AM to 9 PM.
Tours are approximately 45 minutes in length.
SELF-GUIDED TOURS
For group leaders who want to lead their own groups of less than 10 through the Museum. We request that self-guided visits be scheduled with the Education department by fax, phone or e-mail. This allows us to prepare for the group to insure access to all the galleries at the museum.

Planning Your Museum Visit
SCHEDULING RESERVATIONS
All guided tours must be scheduled with the Education Department at least two weeks in advance of your visit. We urge you to make reservations as far in advance as possible to avoid disappointment. To reserve your tour, please call 724/837-1500 ext. 10; or email tours@wmuseum.org. We ask a minimum of five adults for a docent led tour.
When you call to book a group tour, please provide the following information:
- Contact person name, address and phone number and/or cell phone number and email
- Name of group and number of people in the group
- Preferred date and time
- Alternate date and time
- Any special needs (wheelchair access, special learning needs, etc.)
COST
All Guided Tours are $4.00 per person.
PAYMENT
Payment may be made by cash, check, or credit card.
DEPOSIT
A deposit of $25.00 must be received when scheduling a tour. A full refund will be given two weeks with prior notice of cancellation of your tour.
CANCELLATION
If you must cancel your tour, please call 724/837-1500 ext. 10. If you must cancel the tour the day of your visit, please call the museum receptionist at 724/837-1500 ext. 16.
LATE POLICY
If you find that you will be late, please contact the museum receptionist at 724/837-1500, ext. 16. Otherwise, we cannot guarantee a full hour for your guided tour.
CHAPERONES/GROUP LEADERS
Chaperones and group leaders receive complementary admission.
LUNCH FACILITIES
We regret that the museum does not have a lunchroom. However, the art studio may be available for an additional fee of $15.00 (maximum seating is 22). The museum grounds are available if weather permits.
FREE PARKING
Westmoreland Museum of American Art has a bus access lane to provide your visitors with safe and easy access to the Museum.
MUSEUM SHOP - Visit the Shop
Your group will delight in a visit to the Museum Shop. Extend your visit by taking home a piece of American art-the Shop carries books on American art, posters and prints, children's books and activities, unique giftware, jewelry and features a coffee bar.
