Shawn Quinlan: Quilted Art

In conjunction with MAN-MADE QUILTS, Pittsburgh artist Shawn Quinlan, will feature his thought provoking and unique quilted art in the Museum’s Walsh Gallery. Collecting abstract components, he finds materials that are cast off or discarded and mixes them with his own hand painted designs and computer manipulated images. Quinlan brings together non-traditional and traditional techniques such as form-free quilting, cutting, piecing, and appliqué, to form his own interpretation of textile art.
